What "live" means on this site

Product pages lie mostly by vocabulary. "Available", "launching", "early access" and "coming soon" all mean roughly the same thing, which is nothing, and the reader has no way to tell how far along something really is.

We use three words and we use them the same way everywhere.

Live

You can open it today, it is in public use, and if it breaks that is an incident rather than an expectation. Popcorn and PageWebPro are live.

In trials

Real customers are using it on real jobs, but not everyone can sign up and we are still changing things that would be rude to change in a live product. Kerf is in trials.

Pre-launch

It exists, it is being built, and it is not usable by you yet. If we give a date, the date is a real target and it appears next to the word. hAire is pre-launch, mid-2026.

Why bother

Because we would rather lose an enquiry than get one on a false impression. Every minute someone spends evaluating a product that cannot do what they need is a minute we took from them.

And because status is the easiest thing in the world to quietly upgrade. Writing it down in three fixed words makes it obvious to us, not only to you, when something has moved.
